 "Caught!" { God Needed A Rest }

 The maniacal DC sniper and his teenage cohort are now in police 
 custody. "God" apparently needed a nap. Amazingly John Allen 
 Muhammad and John Lee Malvo were taken into police custody 
 in the early am Thursday without incident. And without further 
 loss of life.

 This is not exactly the way anyone would have suspected the whole
 sniper case would have ended. An arrest late at night with the snipers
 asleep in their vehicle, unaware of the gathering police presence around
 them. But everything about this case is out of the ordinary. Only time 
 will reveal the reasons for the 13 sniper attacks - if there are any real
 reasons - as the evidence and motives of the strange murderers are 
 slowly ferretted out.

 What is known so far is that these are two dysfunctional individuals.
 Both failures in life in some respect - especially the elder - John Allen
 Muhammad, a Gulf War veteran, who only recently changed his name 
 from John Williams. Although, Muhammad has been a convert to the 
 Muslim faith for 17 some years. 

 Muhammad was a failure in the military. He was a failure in business, 
 and twice a failure in marriage, as well. Apparently this fed his rage. 
 His descent into a madness, where he became the arbiter of life and 
 death for 13 individuals.

 Ten of whom are now deceased.

 It was inevitable that these two would make a mistake that would lead
 to their capture. Combine arrogance, dysfunctional personalities, and
 stress, and the two John's big mistake was simply a need to get some 
 rest. -- At the wrong time. "God" apparently was unaware of the all-points 
 lookout for the blue Chevy Caprice that was all over television and radio 
 since Charles Moose's midnight press conference. Although, the 
 Montgomery County police chief didn't himself announce the license 
 plate of the fated blue Chevy. Those plates were announced by a busy 
 press corp that was swarming the story, and apparently picked up the 
 numbers of the plate off of police scanners. 

 Now the Washington area can breathe a collective sigh of relief. The
 snipers are apprehended. In the meantime, the media will continue to
 milk this sad story with interviews of neighbors, friends, and relatives
 of the two John's."He was a nice guy. He was a bad guy. He always
 smiled. He never smiled. He was soft-spoken. He was loud. He was 
 always angry. He never showed anger. Etc. Etc. Etc."

 Will the talking heads know when to stop? Their profiles were far off
 the mark. These weren't two white crazies. Or Al Queda operatives. Or 
 video-game fanatics. Just two losers who took their anger out against 
 a world they didn't fit into very well.

 Evil can attach itself to anyone. Madness knows no race, religion, or
 political ideal that it cannot infect. Once taken, no person can escape
 its grasp. For madness itself is like a predator. And the serial killer is 
 its target. Its dope.

 Now all that will remain is for the prosecutors and the courts to have 
 the two John's declared sane. { How's that for irony? } So that they 
 can be convicted by a jury of their peers. And duly executed.
