 "Allen Iverson, Again..."

 So Allen Iverson has had most of the felony charges against him dropped.
 Aren't we happy.

 Yet another of these NBA bad boys gets himself in trouble with the law,
 and wiggles his way out. Actually, it wasn't much of a case to begin with. 
 But, why does another wealthy black sports millionaire allow the law 
 enforcement authorities to intrude into his life in the first place?

 Could the answer -- no pun intended -- be ignorance. And stupidity.

 Allen Iverson is the one John Thompson protege that needed four years
 at Georgetown. No...those four years would not have molded him into a 
 classy, reposed Len Elmore, or even a well-grounded Grant Hill. But maybe 
 with his own two eyes, Allen Iverson could have seen, and learned, and 
 felt, that educated, intellectual black people can be REAL, too.

 Two years, obviously wasn't time enough for that message to seep through.
 Will he go through life forever with this narrow us against them mentality? 
 It's far time for someone to find this young man's ear. The money is what 
 you work for, build for, and sacrifice for. And when you have it. You don't 
 live your life like you don't have it at all.

 The term 'rich thug' is an oxymoron. But unfortunately it is one that can be
 easily used to describe Allen Iverson.

 It is an indicator of his own ignorance. Rich people, in their personal lives, 
 do not associate with brash, uneducated, and undisciplined persons. It's 
 not because they are snobs, always. But it's simply a wise personal choice
 for a person of means to make. A choice that applies equally across all races.
 Not just to rich African-Americans. Life can knock you back down in an 
 instant. Surround yourself with those who have as much to lose as you 
 do. Not, people who only live for the day, and damn the consequences. 
 It's a mentality that frequently leads to disaster of a very personal kind.

 Become strong Allen. Become wise. You're a wealthy black man. Embrace 
 the concept. The world is yours. The entire world. Not just the small corner
 of the lot that you were born into.

 You have so much to lose. And you seem not to realize it. Yes, you are, 
 who you are. And in your heart, you can forever remain so. But it will take 
 far more courage to put on a suit and tie and change your ways. Than to 
 continue the lifestyle you lead. Allen you must break away from a concept 
 that is poison to wealthy young black men like you. 

 Can you rap to that?
